Description
Privacy, seclusion and peaceful describe the atmosphere around this rustic 1920's cedar house.  The house is located on a 60 acre parcel and is located on the back of a 20 acre field 200 feet from the frontage road.  A natural stream, South Fork of Main Creek, is 20 feet wide and it meanders from the Northeast towards the enclosed screen porch of the house.  As you sit on the porch or deck the water flows toward you and turns West in front of the porch.  The stream is 20 feet from the porch.  This setting is PRICELESS!!  New zoning laws prevent any future construction within 75 feet from water in the state of Wisconsin.  The stream is home to Black Bass.  Brown and Brook Trout waters are only two miles upstream.  Muskellunge travel up the stream during spawning season.  The wooded 40 of the 60 acre parcel is one of the best White Tail Deer hunting areas in the county.  Trophy bucks have been harvested on and around the property.  Just south of the property is a 600 acre area that is posted no trespassing.  This area serves as a game refuge that allows deer to mature.  These mature bucks roam to adjacent areas during mating season.  Other wild animals in the area include wild turkey, gray squirrels, raccoon, black bear, ruffed grouse, geese, sand hill cranes, bald eagles, great horned owls, mink, fisher, otter, ducks, various song birds and hummingbirds.  The cabin was constructed from cedar and hemlock lumber in the early 1920s.  The ceiling is open beam with exposed cedar timbers and boards.  The walls are cedar boards and the flooring is hard maple.  The original field stone fireplace has a 13 by 20 inch flue.  There is a hearth and fireplace doors.  In 1999 a 750 square foot addition was completed.  The addition includes the master bedroom, bathroom, closet, laundry and loft.  The addition includes a full basement with a hot water boiler for heat.  The full basement extends under the original house.  The electrical service is 200 amps.  There is a drilled well and a holding tank septic system.  In 2003 a 34 x 44 garage was construction.  The garage has a double garage door with opener.  Another single door in the rear of the garage allowing a "drive through" capability.  The garage trusses are load bearing to allow attic storage.  The garage is on a concrete slab and there is an 8' overhang to allow outside, dry work areas or storage.  There is also a 24 x 30 pole building.  The nearest town is Glen Flora, WI; the nearest hospital is 15 miles in Ladysmith; and the nearest school is in Tony, WI.  It is a farming area and the climate is temperate.  The Wisconsin snowmobile trail system is only 6 miles from the property.  We will show the property to serious buyers.  Serious buyers must provide a certified pre-approval to purchase document from a mortgage company.  We will consider a reasonable offer.  Recent survey completed.  Seller will pay closing attorney and title fees.
