My business was established in 1975 and I purchased the salvage yard in 1979.  I specialized in VWs and had over 800 cars at one time.  This yard could be used for just about anything - cars, trucks, tractors, scrap, salvage, ets.  It is centrally located, almost exactly in the middle of Iowa.  There is a 48 x 78 metal pole building on approximately 3 acres (more or less) of partially fenced land with 2 gates.  The remainder is pasture/garden area and has a creek running through it so that you could keep horses and/or livestock on the property.  It is zoned Light Industrial and is grandfathered in as a salvage yard.    NOT EASY TO DO NOW!!  The address is 212 South Pearl Street. The building has an engine building and new parts room, paint booth, paint mixing room, office, showroom and restroom with a new gas hot water heater.  The shop has 2 hoists, deepsink, 2 floor drains, 12 x 10 overhead door with remote and local openers, 8" concrete driveway, (we did a lot of dirty work and washed cars on it), a natural gas heater and woodburning or waste oil chimmney.  There is an air compressor and some work benches that stay with the building.
