Call for an appointment. 812-293-4395 If the price hasn't changed each day it is because our internet service at our house is on and off.  Historic former Schoolhouse/Masonic Lodge/Movie Theatre  built in 1894 and restored in 2001, now housing a Banquet Facility known as A Step Back, with commercial kitchen, seating 80-100 people. It also has a state of the art sound system and projection system with a 16 ft screen. All walls in this stately and stable 3 story building are 4 brick deep or 13 inch solid brick, 12 ft high ceilings on each floor, with a bell tower on the original slate roof, and also has all the original wavy glass windows. The huge cast iron bell in the tower is in good working condition.  Located in an area within 30 miles of Louisville, KY, and 90 minutes from Cincinnati, OH, the potential for a restaurant, bed & breakfast or any daily run operation is limitless.    When you enter through the front double doors, with a large window above, there is a staircase on your right with lovely wide steps to the second floor, a 1/2 bath on your left and a large foyer with a side door on the left providing a handicap entrance and a 9 ft window on your right for light.  Directly in front of you are two open doorways to the 1700 square foot banquet room. On the left is a stage for presentations, plays, or any entertainment, another door to the outside is off this stage, and also a door that enters into the old projection room (for the movie theatre) which still has the Peerless carbon projectors in it. On the right is a long table for buffet serving and behind that are two doors which lead to the kitchen equipped with 4 burner, gas convection oven stove, 2 door glass cooler, refrigerator and small freezer, all chafing dishes for serving, plates, glasses, etc.    The second floor has another 1/2 bath and covers the same area as the 1st floor.  This floor would be ideal for several shops. The 3rd floor is all wood covered and would make a lovely living area or apartment, by the addition of a full bathroom and  small kitchen.
